The Nevis Business Corporation Ordinance is modeled on the company laws of Delaware and New York, while simultaneously providing for common English Law practices. It provides for total tax exemption in Nevis and freedom from exchange controls and stamp duties in Nevis for companies which carry out no business in Nevis.
The Ordinance provides additional features which make it an ideal statue for the establishment of private investment companies, trust companies, and trading companies:
